The remote control can be up to 400 feet away from the pan tilt head by using multiple cables that are connected end to end.
You can pan and tilt at the same time, you can make diagonal movements. This unit is very quiet, used in churches, on masts for aerial photography, by law enforcement, architectural photos, etc.
The speed is continuously adjustable with the remote control, from 3 to 12 degrees per second. The MP-101b can make a one half rotation in as fast as 15 seconds and as slow as 1 minute. Auto mode sweeps an arc of 60, 120 or 180 degrees.
The hand held remote control has a cable 4 foot long.

We have some customers that love there EBRA-121Rs, most of them use it with a wide angle lens and a short distance from camera to subject.
There is no LANC connection on the EBRA-121Rs pan tilt system.
You cannot pan and tilt at the same time, you cannot make diagonal movements.
The EBRA-121Rs controls 6 functions on most Sony, Canon & Panasonic Camcorders. The manufacture does not list the model numbers of the cameras that are compatible. Your camera must be IR remote controllable for this function to work (a remote control must have been included with your camera).
The manufacture does not state the maximum load but we test each one with a 3 pound camera.
The EBRA-121Rs is a low end consumer product. It has a thin plastic case, rubber belts, plastic gears, and a remote control with dimples instead of buttons that need to be depressed with greater force than a TV remote control.
It also has about 2 to 10 degrees of backlash in both pan and tilt directions. Backlash is undesirable clearance between mating components and sometimes described as the amount of lost motion, or delay in response, due to slackness in the gear train. This is noticed mainly as a delay in response when reversing directions during panning or tilting, especially with a telephoto lens. Backlash causes your camera to flop 'back and forth', and 'side to side'.

This gasket sealed environmental enclosure has a hinged cover that latches at the rear of housing and accepts a padlock. The bottom of the enclosure has a 'gasket compression fitting' made for flexible conduit or cable entry. Your camera mounts to a plastic plate that is easily adjusted and snaps into position.

Constructed of extruded aluminum, beige in color.
Accommodates cameras with a maximum size of 4" Wide x 3" High x 9.5" Deep.
Enclosure dimensions are 5.5" Wide x 4.5" High x 15.5" Deep.

The Power wire is configured with standard 12 V DC coaxial male & female connectors.
2.1 mm DC male power plug at one end and 2.1 mm female power connector at the other end.

The Video wire is configured with an RCA male connector at one end, and an RCA female connector at the other end. Each cable includes 1 double RCA female adaptor and 1 double RCA mail adaptor.
This allows you to change any RCA male connector into a female connector and vice-versa, see image.

Makes installation easy. No need to run separate power cables or install power near the camera.
Plug one end into the video and power connections on the inspection camera, and plug the other end into the power supply and VCR, TV, monitor etc. You may join two or more of these cables together for a
longer run.

Compare backlash between a cheap and a high end motor.
'Cheap motor' what to look for.
Motion is jumpy not smooth.		'Good motor' what to look for.
Motion is smooth not jumpy.
The videos show two motors mounted on top of each other. The top motor is the same motor in each video and is used as a 17 pound weight acting as a load for the bottom motor.
The bottom motor is different in each video even though they look the same.
The bottom motor on the left cost much less than the bottom motor on the right.
The backlash performance of the motor on the left is much worse than the motor on the right.
Be careful, jumpy motors produce jumpy pictures.
Backlash is unintended clearance between mating components, sometimes described as the amount of lost motion due to slackness when movement is reversed and contact is reestablished. A similar effect is the taking up of slack when a train starts to pull away at the station and each car bumps as its link becomes tight. Backlash can send shocks through the whole system and can damage teeth and other components.
